Reasons Why Many Can Not hear God
“To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.” (Matthew 13 vs 22, NLT).
There are three types of dreams:1. Simple Dreams, 2.Simple symbolic dreams and,
3.Complex dreams . These three categories of dreams are levels at which God gives dreams to man and what's strange is that He gives complex dreams to the immature or those referred to as babies and He gives the simple dreams to the mature.
The more faithful you are to God's past messages and assignments, the more clearer God begins to communicate. I have discovered if you are not faithful with the dreams and visions he gives you, they become more complex and difficult to understand.
The Bible says it is the glory of God to conceal a matter showing God loves hiding things but it also says in John 15, "before now you were servants and I could not share my secrets with you because I share secrets with friends." Though God hides things he hides to test your faithfulness and your ability to steward what he gives unto you but there is a level of friendship and fellowship where God cannot hide things from you.
Jesus said to those who would listen to his teachings more understanding would be given. So the more you understand the more he reveals. But he also said those that don’t listen even the little knowledge they have would be taken away.That’s why it seems those who don’t know the word seem to be more and more ignorant of God and his ways and those who know him seem to excel more and more in understanding.
If you don’t value something, you lose it. A relationship you don’t put an effort into eventually dies. God speaks clearly to those who know him and he uses parables or complex communication to those who do not have a matured relationship with him. Fellowship causes his voice to be more clearer and lack of fellowship does the opposite .
Learn to cultivate your relationship with God, because God shares secrets with his friends and those who have close fellowship with him. Moses was so close that God said I speak to him mouth to mouth and not in dark speeches and in that incident he showed he spoke differently to Aaron and Mirriam. God does speak but he communicates differently to his creation and it seems there are people to whom he speaks more clearly while he uses dark speeches to others.
Though God speaks, clarity comes from your position in Him. People like Moses Elijah and Even Enoch were ordinary man us, yet because of the relationship they had with God, The Voice was so clear. The key for God's Voice to be clear is fellowship and stewardship and you can function at this level if you desire.
Are you willing to push to have understanding of those complex messages he gives you and perform the task until he can trust you with the simple messages and can speak with you clearly.
My prayer for you is to let your understanding increase and his ability to trust you grow in Jesus' name.
