Speaking Prophets
The Power of Prophetic Portals and the Spoken Word
Introduction
Seeing in the spirit comes naturally for all believers, regardless of rank or maturity. However, while many can see in the spirit, few are fully aware of what they see or even recognize that they’re seeing at all. We live in a prophetic generation where many people have visions, yet they often lack the authority to change what they see. This authority comes from a specific, divine authorization marked by the presence of God.
The badge of this authorization is God’s presence. Whenever you feel God’s presence, it is His seal, accrediting you to speak and birth forth whatever you are empowered to declare. But have you ever noticed that, in a room, a specific area may seem to carry a stronger presence of God? This area is what I call a "portal"—an opening in the heavens that allows God’s presence to enter a particular place.
The Importance of Portals and Divine Authorization
While many people experience these spiritual openings, few are conscious of them. Speaking and declaring outside God’s presence lacks the capacity for manifestation, as true power in the spoken word comes from alignment with God’s voice and presence. Portals are spiritual gateways where God’s presence is deeply felt, and they can be created through worship, prayer, or associations with others who have a strong connection to God. The key to manifesting what you see lies in God’s presence, which authorizes you to effect change.
Ezekiel’s Valley of Dry Bones: A Lesson in Divine Authority
In Ezekiel 37, God instructs the prophet to speak life into dry bones, showing the need for divine guidance before speaking into a situation. “So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.” (Ezekiel 37:7, NIV). This example reveals the importance of being led by God’s instruction and presence. “It’s one thing to speak; it’s another to speak with His presence. In that moment, words become tools for transformation.” Any words spoken without authorization lack the capacity to manifest. There are four primary ways portals are created; a portal, in this sense, is an opening that allows God’s presence to flow, giving authority to speak life over ourselves and others.
1. Creating Portals Through Worship
The first way to create a portal is through worship. When you worship, you invite God into your space, turning that place into an active portal. “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel” (Psalm 22:3, NKJV). Worship shifts our focus from the problems around us to a deeper connection with God, and as His presence fills the space, what we declare with authority can manifest.
2. Angelic Portals
An angelic portal is another type of spiritual opening. Jacob’s encounter with God at Bethel is a prime example; he unknowingly chose a location where an angelic gateway existed, which significantly impacted his life. “He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it” (Genesis 28:12, NIV). Many locations today are considered sacred because of the divine encounters people have experienced there, often resulting in an overwhelming sense of God’s presence. However, angelic portals can sometimes be tricky, as some may have been overtaken by demonic influences. Jacob experienced a shift because he saw a portal; our awareness and alignment with God is key in seeing these angelic portals . Jacob’s life changed because of the encounters he had at bethel , and if one is conscious of these angelic portals they can have the same results and manifestations as Jacob.
3. Portals Through Association
The third type of portal is created through association. When I am fully awakened to my calling, I begin to carry an “open heaven” around me, a spiritual room that allows others to access the same grace through fellowship or a relationship with me as a man of God. Elisha, for instance, was able to access the mantle of Elijah because he remained in close association with him. “When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?’ ‘Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,’ Elisha replied” (2 Kings 2:9, NIV). Many people who are deeply devoted to God carry a realm of God’s presence with them, and simply being around them gives others access to that same realm and the presence of God in that realm
4. Seasonal (Kairos) Portals Created by God
The fourth and most significant type of portal is God’s portal. These portals are based on divine timing and are often the most challenging to access. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, NIV). An example is the story of Moses and the Israelites, who wandered for 40 years after missing a Kairos moment (Deuteronomy 1:2-3). These portals are tied to specific periods, and missing them can delay one’s blessings. Being aware of these divine seasons allows believers to move forward rather than remain in a state of stagnation. For more on seasons and times [ CLICK HERE ]
The Power of Words Within Portals
When operating within these portals, the words you speak carry profound impact. Not every word is meant to be spoken in these realms, as only the words God authorizes will yield the desired results. Ezekiel declared only what God instructed, and everything he spoke came to pass. In the same way, the presence of God is essential, along with the authorization to speak. Ezekiel recognized that seeing was not enough he needed specific words and instructions to cause the dry bones to live . Divine words are seeds planted in the spirit, creating conditions for breakthroughs.
Conclusion: Moving from Observation to Active Participation
As believers grow more conscious of God’s presence, they must understand the weight and impact of their words. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12, NIV). I encourages you to move beyond simply seeing in the spirit to becoming speaking prophets. By engaging with God’s presence, aligning with Gods word , and speaking with authority, believers are empowered to bring real transformation to their lives and those around them. True transformation requires more than observation; it demands action within God’s ordained moments. For Video And More On Speaking Prophets Zoom Class [ CLICK HERE ]
