They Shall Say Congratulations

The name Isaac means Laughter, he was born to a 90-year woman and in joy she acknowledged that God had indeed blessed her. Imagine a woman who was already past childbearing age, becoming pregnant and finally giving birth. The bible carries many testimonies that are similar to that of Sarah’s.

Sarah believed her story would cause those that would hear it to laugh with her and share in her joy because such a thing was impossible. There are seasons of God’s goodness where one experiences the favor of God. Sarah was in that season and Isaac was her testimony. She had reached a moment in her life where she had accepted that she would not get pregnant and even when her husband first told her of the word of the Lord, she never counted herself as the one that would give her husband the seed he was promised. But in that season, where it was physically impossible for her to bear fruit, she did.

Psa 126:1-3 KJV 1 A Song of degrees. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. 2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. 3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

Joy always manifests when God comes through for his children and allows them to experience his favor. The streams of the south were dry places, and this psalmist shows how God causes the dry and barren place to bear fruit and overflow with life and water. The captives had been in bondage for so many decades and they had built a life and had accepted a life of slavery and captivity. They had become comfortable, but God had another plan. Finally, when they were given their freedom papers their mouths were filled with laughter and their hearts filled with Joy. God specializes in raising dead things. I may not know of the position that you are in right now but imagine if God could cause a 90-year-old to give birth can he not cause you also to bear fruit of whatever you have need of.

Sarah was no longer asking God for a child and even the captives had built a life as slaves, but God had another plan for them. In this season I see you experiencing God’s goodness and favor and those that laughed at you will laugh with you.

When the captives were freed, they felt like it was a dream and even Sarah was overwhelmed with joy. I believe in this season some events as they happen you will feel as if it’s a dream. Get ready to celebrate in this season. They shall say CONGRATULATIONS!
