What Has He Really Promised and How Do You Have Access to It?
The Danger of Unrealistic Declarations
There are times when you enter into prayer meetings, and though it is faith to declare what you want to see, some declarations are unrealistic because the person is not positioned to have access to what they are declaring. It is like someone praying and saying, "Next week, I am going to be a billionaire," but at that moment, they do not have a system or structure that can cause a million or a billion dollars to be funneled to them. It is not about declaring unrealistic expectations but about declaring the purpose and will of God.
Wealth Creation is About Purpose
Wealth creation is not about calling money; wealth creation is about manifestation of purpose. Within purpose, that is where the resources for wealth reside. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33) The challenge many people face is that they pray for a billion dollars but have not prayed to understand the purpose they carry. Within purpose, there is a system and structure that can cause that billion dollars to come if it is supposed to come . It is unrealistic to pray for a billion dollars next week when you are not positioned to have access to it within God's purpose for your life. What is Promise for you and have you created systems that can cause that wealth to be funneled to you and through you.
Why Some Prayers Seem Unanswered
Many believers say, "I have been praying, but things are not working for me; I have been fasting, but I am not seeing results." The reason why they are not seeing results is that they have missed a key principle. When God encountered Moses, He asked, "What is that in your hand?" (Exodus 4:2). God always looks for a system through which He can bring prosperity. He answers at times does not look like what your praying for.
The Power of Vision and Preparation
Look at the story of the children of Israel. They were supposed to be saved almost 22 years into the future because a drought was coming. So, what did God do? He gave Joseph a dream (Genesis 37:5-7), because in that 22nd year, if Joseph did not have the dream and prepare, the people would have perished. The challenge is, when you are at the beginning of the journey and you have missed the dream, you miss the vision and are not aligned with the purpose of God you may perish. The prosperity you want to see now he instructed you years back and the prosperity you will have tomorrow he is instructing you today "Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18) When the season of drought comes, you struggle because you were never positioned.
Joseph's Journey: A Lesson in Process
Joseph was sold into Egypt as part of God's promise for the children of Israel. Every pain and difficulty he endured was connected to God's plan for His people in the future. Many fail to understand that God is a God of process. "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1) When He is forming you in the potter's house, He is preparing you for a blessing that may manifest years later. However, many want immediate breakthroughs without preparation. They pray as if they need an instant miracle when God already gave them a dream years before to guide them through the process.
The Connection Between Dreams and Breakthroughs
Joseph’s journey teaches us that God plans our today from yesterday and our tomorrow from today. Pharaoh had a dream because the fulfillment of Joseph’s dream depended on it. "And Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream to interpret it.'" (Genesis 41:15) Joseph had to go through battles and difficulties so that his dream could be revived through Pharaoh’s dream. Many are praying for things that God has already aligned for them, but they are not yielded to His voice to see the breakthrough.
The Role of Egypt in God's Plan
Why did God lead Joseph to Egypt? Because Egypt had the infrastructure—the Nile River, the grain storage system, and the administrative structures—that Israel did not have. At the time, Israel was just a small tribe, but Egypt had millions of people and the means to sustain itself through a 7-year famine. "And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities." (Genesis 41:35) God gave Joseph a dream 22 years before the crisis because He knew that Egypt would be the place where provision would come from.
The Process of Wealth Transfer
Many believers pray for wealth transfer but fail to recognize that wealth transfer comes through identification of purpose and alignment with God’s process. "The wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just." (Proverbs 13:22) If Joseph had rejected the process, he would not have been able to be the salvation of his family. Instead of simply praying for financial breakthrough, the key question is: What are you called to do? What is your purpose?
Aligning with God's Process
A lot of people complain and say, "You don’t understand what I am going through." But the truth is, they have not yielded enough to the process. If God is going to use the system of Egypt to bless you, He will allow you to be trained for years before you have access to that system. If you are not used to the process, the blessing will seem delayed. "But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." (James 1:4) God has to refine you, prepare you, and shape you for the breakthrough He has planned.
The Refining Fire of Preparation
The refining process may feel like heat, but it is necessary for your future. "But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold." (Job 23:10) Many people are praying for wealth, but they are not prepared for it. If you want to see God's promises manifest, you must align yourself with His process. He is a God of process, and the more you yield to it, the more you position yourself for the fulfillment of His promises.
God's Timing is Perfect
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakkuk 2:3)
God bless you.
