Reignite Your Hunger: The Key to Inheritance and Productivity
The reason you feel stuck, unmotivated, or unproductive is simple—you stopped being hungry. Hunger is a strong desire to consume something to be filled. But the Bible speaks of a unique hunger, one that leads to fulfillment, productivity, and even inheritance. Psalm 107:36 (NKJV) says:
"There He makes the hungry dwell, that they may establish a city for a dwelling place."
This means that hunger determines where a person dwells. If we equate hunger to passion, then we can say: “He makes the passionate dwell so that they may establish a city.” Cities, businesses, ministries, and destinies are built by those who are hungry. The challenge today is that many have lost their hunger.
Proverbs 24:33-34 (NKJV) warns us: "A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—so shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your need like an armed man." When someone is no longer hungry, they become complacent. They stop striving, stop growing, and stop seeking more from life. A lack of hunger leads to stagnation.
Psalm 107:37 (NKJV) goes on to say: "And sow fields and plant vineyards, that they may yield a fruitful harvest." Who sows fields and plants vineyards? The hungry. Passion drives people to take action, to invest in their future, and to produce fruit. Hunger for the things of God enables you to build, sow, and reap a harvest. If you have no passion, no hunger, and no drive, you will not sow, and without sowing, there can be no harvest. Are you still hungry for your dreams, your purpose, and God’s will for your life? Or have you given up, feeling frustrated and tired?
Psalm 107:38 (NKJV) declares: "He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; and He does not let their cattle decrease." Who does God bless and multiply? The hungry—the passionate! Those who are driven to succeed. What are you believing God for in this next season? What specific goals have you set for the second quarter of the year?
Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV) instructs us: "Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." This means you must have plans to commit to God. You must have visions that you present before Him.
Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV) says: "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it." A vision must be written down. A plan must be clear. What are you pursuing? What are you believing for? What are you working towards?
Cry out to God and say: "Lord, I will be hungry again! I refuse to be complacent! I refuse to sleep while my destiny waits! Fill me with fresh passion, fresh hunger, and fresh drive!"
This is the season to remove yourself from slumber and step into your inheritance.
God bless you. Stay hungry!
