Welcome To Your Season of Crowning
One of the keys in this season is Proverbs 23:1-3 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: 2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. 3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.
Every promotion has its distractions; many, when they are invited to sit with a man of influence they are consumed with lust for his food or resources that they fail to create a relationship with the king. The wise king said when you are invited to dinner by the king don’t focus on his food but focus on talking with the king because if you gain favor with him. It will allow you to glean and gain more from that relationship than what you can gain from a single meal. I have noticed that so many people have been distracted by the king’s food that they come out of an encounter with him with a belly full but without touching his heart.
The bible says a man's gift makes room for him and enables him to sit with great men. It's easy to gain an audience with a man of influence; it's another thing to gain from and maintain that relationship. In this season your gift will make room for you, but when you gain an audience with the king, follow the instructions of the wise king and put a fork to your throat. Be disciplined. It takes a gift to open a door into the king’s house but it takes more than a gift to maintain the position.
When Joseph stood before Pharaoh, he had been refined and had gained wisdom and discipline from all that he had gone through. When he interpreted the dream, Pharaoh noticed Joseph was wise enough to manage the project, which he had mentioned from the dream he had interpreted. Though Pharaoh had wise men already who served him among them there was none that had the wisdom Joseph had. Joseph at one time was not disciplined and because of his conduct his brothers resented him. It took so much for Joseph to finally be that man that stood before Pharaoh. I trust in the process God took to bring you to where you are now. In this season where your gift will make room for you the key is discipline and understanding the value of relationships.
