Dreaming With God: Discovering Your Purpose
The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." This means that God had a purpose for you even before you were born! You are not here by accident—God planned for you to be on this earth.
What Do You Love to Do?
Think about the things you enjoy doing. Do you love to sing, draw, write, build things, or help others? God often places hints about your purpose inside your heart. Your passions and talents may be a sign of what He has called you to do!
In the comments, I want you to type what you love doing! Parents, I encourage you to guide your child through this process. Talk with them about their gifts, their interests, and the desires God has placed in their hearts.
Learning from Joseph’s Story
Joseph was a dreamer, but his dreams were not just about himself—they were God-given dreams. At first, Joseph thought his dreams were only about his brothers bowing down to him. But as he grew, he realized that God had called him to a much greater purpose: to save an entire nation!
Many of you have dreams, and they may not just be your own dreams, but dreams from God. Maybe you dream of becoming a doctor, a scientist, a teacher, or a leader. But have you ever asked, "God, what is Your dream for my life?"
Discovering God's Purpose in You
I remember when I was young, I loved writing. I didn’t know that one day I would write a book! All I had was a simple love for writing, but that passion was actually a clue to my purpose. What you love doing today might be connected to what God has called you to do in the future!
One of my sons once told me, "Dad, I want to be a scientist because I want to make money." That was a great goal, but I helped him understand that success is not just about money—it’s about fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.
Dream with God!
I want to encourage you today: Dream, but don’t just dream—dream with God! Ask Him:
God, what have You created me to do?
What gifts have You placed inside me?
How can I use my talents to serve You and help others?
You are special, and God has a purpose for you. My prayer is that you discover the person God created you to be. Keep dreaming, keep growing, and most importantly, seek God’s plan for your life!
